i'm only writing because i want to rant and rave about how awesome frickin' sara bareilles was this past week.

haha so basically i went to see her at hotel cafe wednesday night and friday night. in between, i checked out raining jane and tony lucca. raining jane was tight. they were absolutely hilarious on stage. i'll definitely be checking them out again when they play hotel cafe tuesdays in june.

back to sara. so i've been a huge fan of hers for a while now. a while being about 5-6 months haha. if you haven't heard her stuff, you must must must check it out. she's incredible.

hmmm so i thought i would have more to say, but i guess i don't really. if i start describing it for you, i won't be able to stop. there is too much to say, and i already wrote a lengthy review about the entire wednesday concert. hmmm maybe i will be back here writing about the friday concert.

haha xanga has changed so much since the last time i was on. i couldn't even figure out how to start a new weblog entry haha. ridiculous.

i'll just get to what i've been up to...

played basketball at church, tore my acl and will be having surgery in mid-august.

i am now working this disgusting 5:00am-2:00pm shift meaning i get to work before the sun is out.

really into so you think you can dance this season.

went to vegas this past weekend for a bachelorette party which was pretty sweet.

currently enjoying the sounds of lil wayne, the ting tings, and of course the new john mayer album where the light is which you absolutely must see/listen to. it is incredible. sigh.

i can't think of anything else, but i will and then i will post again.

so it's been a long time since i last posted. partly because i just forgot about xanga. partly because there really hasn't been too much going on in my life.

i started working. i work for j2 global communications in hollywood. it's alright. i guess i'm enjoying some sort of routine now. although that routine includes being in bed before 11, which is not fun.

my average day goes a little something like this...

   some time after 6: wake up, wash up, leave for work

   a little before 8: arrive at work

   pretty much 8 to 12: chat on aim while working and surfing the web

   half past 12 to half past 1: lunch, walking, chatting on aim

   half past 1 to about 5: chat on aim while working and surfing the web

   5 or so to 6: drive home listening to my fav jams on power

   6 to about 10: dinner, tv, shower

   not too long after 10: bed

the weekends are when i come alive. during the week, i'm pretty much a homebody. that's life.

actually, if i look out the window closest to my desk, i see a giant picture/poster/billboard of a scantly clad rihanna, but figured that would be less appropriate. haha...

ok, so i know you're all asking...what has christiana been up to these days? well, let me tell you so that your ears stop burning and your world keeps turning.

i've been keeping myself busy with job interviews and personal appointments. i'm still looking for a full-time job that offers good benefits, although i recently signed on with FAT SHEEP GRAPHICS & PRINTING where i basically get people to start doing business with us. if you are looking for a place to print your stuff, get in contact with me and we can definitely work something out.

other than that i've just been adjusting to post-college life. it's tough. i really miss being a student. i guess it's especially hard because i had such an awesome life at ucr. i loved it. to move home and not have my friends surrounding me, supporting me, challenging me, it's impossible to be happy. but, i'm content.

ummm, the rest is just details, and if you really care i'm sure you'll ask me. hope you thoroughly enjoyed your thanksgiving and are looking forward to christmas. peace.

last night (monday) i went with some ucr friends to disneyland for their annual mickey's halloween treat and we had a blast!

last year elaine, momo, jable and i were the cast of peter pan. this year darwin, jeff, stella, kaci, jable and i were the cast of toy story 2. it was awesome. or should i say LEGENDARY?!?!?!

last night was incredible!

DAVID CROWDER BAND and PHIL WICKHAM!!!

it was tight.

so, i definitely didn't realize how crazy momo was about dcb. it was intense. but, it paid off. we hung out after the show in the balcony area of anaheim house of blues. chatted with mike (the cute bassist) and attempted to grab burgers with them afterward. maybe next time. hahaha.

well, it was absolutely fabulous. i enjoyed every second of it. if you ever have the chance to see them in concert, definitely do it. they're awesome!

so, if you didn't know who mike (the cute bassist) is, he's the guy in the first picture up there.

sorry, no picture to post of phil. i took one with him on a phone, and i probably won't get it on the computer for a very long time. but, it's ok. i'll never forget it...and my background is plenty of phil for everyone!

alright, i'm off to look for a job and do stuff that people who have graduated do. peace!

so, i had a fantastic birthday celebration with my riverside friends. thanks to everyone who made it out. it was absolutely fabulous. if you have pictures, send them to me...or just post them on facebook!

there isn't too much going on with me. i'm still job hunting. i have an interview tomorrow with marc ecko. for some reason it's a little more exciting because they're such a cool, urban, trendy, company. did you know that marc ecko owns zoo york? i'm pretty excited about that. but we'll see how the interview goes tomorrow. it's an internship with the entertainment publicity director. so, i don't know if that's exactly what i want, but i'm willing to go all the way to west hollywood to check it out.

not much else going on, just hanging out with old friends. if you want to hang out, you should give me a call or shoot me an e-mail. i would love to grab lunch or something before i start working.

oh...one thing i can't wait for is going to watch across the universe this friday! it's going to be ridiculously awesome. trust me. i saw the cast and creator on oprah. amazing stuff!

well, i was planning on posting pictures from reno and lake tahoe, but no one wants to see more pictures of me and my family members.

i will share pictures from china instead. everyone always likes to see foreigners for some reason. it's weird.

so there's no way that i could do china justice by smiply posting words. i haven't uploaded my pictures yet because half of them were brutally destroyed when a cd our students made for us was broken in half in my luggage on the way home. the other half are still on my camera, but unfortunately i can't upload them onto my mom's laptop and my desktop isn't really christiana-friendly right now.

i'll share a little. CHINA WAS FANTASTIC!!! i made a lot of really good friends, both american friends and chinese friends. there's no way it could've happened without God guiding every step and preparing me and other ahead of time for our month-long encounters. He was good every single moment of every single day.

i learned a lot about chinese culture as well as american culture. i don't think i realized how different we were. before this trip i only knew some of the obvious differences, but after being able to meet and become friends with chinese people who actually lived in china and had spent their entire lives there showed me a whole new perspective on china. i learned a lot about communism because every one of our students was a member of the party and pretty open about how their government and country worked. it was a challenge feeling free to be a believer among them, but God definitely granted me grace and didn't allow my beliefs to get in the way of my friendship with the chinese students.

i think if i share more this post will be way too long, so i'll stop there. if you're fascinated and would like to know more about the trip, i definitely want to share...so just ask!

ummm, i'll leave you with this video. it has nothing to do with china, except that tim and hao serenaded us on the bus with this song. i think esmee sings it a little better. but you can't beat the real thing, right?
